The OD-S overdrive kit based on Nutube technology makes the dream of building your own overdrive pedal come true. The structure of the pedal can even be modified as desired without having to reach for a soldering iron. The OD-S contains a powerful, analog Nutube triode tube for a warm and overtone-rich sound. In addition to two separate GAIN controls for the input level and the anode load (TUBE GAIN), there are two different overdrive types (with different bass and treble ranges) and a true bypass circuit. Several switching diagrams are even available free of charge in the download area for the most demanding requirements. The sound can be further refined by arranging the components in different ways.
The Nutube is a revolutionary, purely analog vacuum tube developed by KORG together with the Noritake Itron Corporation. Thanks to its structure of anode, grid and heating wire, the Nutube tube reacts just like a conventional tube, although it is far more compact and reliable and also consumes much less energy.
